Yeah, I kinda like making these caption images. Makes my inner-logo-T-shirt designer all wet 'n' wild, I guess.

The concept behind the character-growth system used in Final Fantasy II is pretty cool, even by today's standards: rather than just gaining points for killing things, and going up in levels that alter all of your stats at once... you gain proficiency in various skills simply by using them a lot. One of the weirder aspects to this, though, was that your HP total would go up only when you actually took damage, so for level-grinding, this means having your party attack themselves and each other, in order to speed HP growth. It's not really necessary to do that (you can gain enough HP by just playing the game), but almost everyone who's ever played FF2 has done it at some point.

Very provocative caption, but in the light of the description I am not annoyed. I loved the growth system in that game. I understand there's already a Dawn of Souls remake for the GBA SP system, but I'd love to see another remake.
